Causes
When a device driver in Windows 10 enters sleep mode while the device is in use, the result is typically a Driver Power State Failure.
Usually, Windows instructs the driver to wake up when this occurs. If the device driver is inactive for an extended time, Windows 10 displays the blue screen of death and restarts the computer.
This issue typically happens when you install a driver that isn’t compatible with the system or when a driver is corrupted or outdated. The graphics card and the Wi-Fi adapter are the most frequently causing drivers for this problem.
How to Fix Driver Power State Failure
This mistake can be caused by some different factors, but it can be methodically troubleshooted and fixed with relatively little effort..
1: Give the computer a restart. Sometimes, a brief power outage results in Driver Power State Failure. Restarting could fix the problem if it just occurred once, and you might never see the error again.
